US Excused From Smart Cards
Smart banking cards overtaking traditional magnetic swipe cards. While the United States still mainly uses traditional magnetic swipe banking cards, the rest of the world has been shifting to a different standard — EMV smart chip cards (which stands for Europay, MasterCard and Visa). Chip cards contain an embedded microprocessor that stores and processes encrypted information, making it difficult to copy or counterfeit.
Chinese Must Now Post Online Videos under Their Real Names
Chinese Internet users are now required to register their real names to upload videos to Chinese online video sites. The new rule has been implemented to “prevent vulgar content, base art forms, exaggerated violence and sexual content in Internet video having a negative effect on society,” shared by China’s State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SARFT).
