Win free Etihad Airways tickets with Ufone

KARACHI: In association with Etihad Airways, Ufone is providing a chance to its postpaid customers to win free tickets to Rome, Zurich, Abu Dhabi, Johannesburg and Nairobi. Khurram Mahboob head of Postpaid at Ufone announced this offer and said that Ufone cares for its postpaid customer family and is providing them a chance to visit, these exciting places along with their family. Amer Khan Etihad Airways’ General Manager in Pakistan said that they are delighted to maintain such a relation with this top telecom operator and will offer best services to their customers. Five lucky customers will be selected through lucky draw.

PTCL and Telecard facing decrease in value of shares

ISLAMABAD: The face value of PTCL and Telecard shares has been decreased.  With the news of withdrawal of International Clearing House surfaced, the shares of Telecom Companies which are listed on stock market have decreased. Today, in first three hours of trading, 14 million share of Telecard were traded, while the value of its share has decreased 11 percent and has reached Rs. 4.31 per share, from Rs. 4.90. Whereas, 9.5 million shares of PTCL were traded as the value has come down to Rs. 28.02 per share, from Rs. 29.07. It has been predicted, Telecard will further lose its stock value.

Team Amplifiers will compete in Imagine Cup worldwide finals.

KARACHI: Microsoft corp. announced Team Amplifiers from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute the winners to participate in Imagine Cup.  To reach this level, Team Amplifiers had to go through meticulous evaluation, winning at regional and national level. They presented their project AMP – Auditory Modified Perception, it replaces expensive hearing aid frequency processing with Windows Phone 8, Bluetooth headset and provides audiometry test right on phone. Mr. Sharjeel, Leader, Team Amplifiers said, “Imagine Cup is a dazzling platform which allows talented students to bring in their creative ideas to the industry.” The team includes four talented engineers including Sherjeel Sikander, Immad Imtiaz, Junaid Imtiaz and Sameed Tariq.
