Telenor Pakistan has unveiled its “Startup Mentors’ Network” initiative to bolster the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. This program builds upon the success of Telenor Velocity, their corporate accelerator program.

The Startup Mentors’ Network features 31 seasoned professionals from Telenor Pakistan, each with deep expertise in communications, marketing, finance, strategy, and business models.  These mentors will collaborate with startups across various incubators and accelerators nationwide.

The network aims to provide tailored guidance and strategic support to emerging ventures. Startups will benefit from the mentors’ extensive industry knowledge and network, gaining valuable insights to accelerate their growth.

“At Telenor Pakistan, we believe in the transformative power of entrepreneurship,”

said Areej Khan, Chief People Officer.

“The launch of the Startup Mentors’ Network underscores our commitment to nurturing the next generation of innovators and equipping them with the tools and insights needed to thrive in today’s competitive market.”

This initiative builds on the success of Telenor Velocity, which has supported eight cohorts of startups across various sectors like Edtech, Healthtech, Fintech, IoT, and Agritech. These startups have collectively attracted a significant $65 million in investments. The Startup Mentors’ Network further emphasizes Telenor Pakistan’s dedication to fostering innovation and accelerating the growth of Pakistan’s startup landscape.

This news signifies a positive development for Pakistan’s tech startup scene. With access to experienced mentors and valuable industry knowledge, these young companies are positioned for stronger growth and success.

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
