The gaming console industry has come quite far there are many consoles out there that make video game consoles such as Sony, Xbox etc but one of the pioneers of gaming consoles is Magnavox  an American electronics company founded in the United States. Today it is a subsidiary of electronics corporation Philips.

 

On the 3rd of March 1971, Magnavox made history by getting the exclusive licensing of television video game technology from Sanders Associates. The first ever gaming console for homes the Odyssey, was developed at Sanders by a team headed by Ralph Baer.
