TechNova 25: Pakistan’s Premier AI Symposium and Tech Competition Set for July 26

TechNova 25, a flagship technology event hosted by the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), is scheduled for July 26, 2025. This national platform is dedicated to showcasing innovation and technological advancement through dynamic competitions, industry expert talks, and strategic networking opportunities. The event, titled “Innovate and Elevate,” aims to bring together students, developers, startups, and professionals in a celebration of collaboration and creativity at the CBM Auditorium starting at 12:00 PM.

One of the central highlights of TechNova 25 is the AI Symposium 2025, which will feature thought-provoking keynote sessions and a high-impact panel discussion. Jibran Jamshed, Country Education Lead at Microsoft Pakistan, will present his insights in a session titled “AI Through the Lens of SIR.” Brig. Musharraf Khan, Additional Director – Strategic Relations at TELEC Group, will speak on “Artificial Intelligence in Education: Challenges & Opportunities.” These sessions are geared toward understanding AI’s expanding role in education and how institutions can adapt to its transformative potential.

The symposium’s panel discussion will focus on the theme “The Future of AI in Academics: How AI is Revolutionizing Education.” Notable panelists include Prof. Dr. Tariq Rahim Soomro, Rector of IoBM; Dr. Syed Nadeem Ahsan, Division Head of IT & Cyber-Security at KINPOE; Dr. Najeeb Ahmed from NED University of Engineering & Technology; Ahsan Maskoor, Co-Founder of WAI & C Square; Adnan Zaidi, Chief AI Officer (CAIO) at PROXIMA.PK; and Syed Kashif Rafi, Registrar of ILMA University. The session will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abbas P.E, Dean at IoBM.

Alongside the symposium, TechNova 25 offers multiple competitive modules designed to highlight technical brilliance across a variety of domains. These include Final Year Project Competition (teams of 3), Speed Programming, Prompt Engineering, Web & Logo Designing, and Maths Mania (individual entries), as well as the Start-up Launchpad category for teams of three. The registration fee structure varies, with Rs. 1500 for individual entries and Rs. 3000 for team-based entries.

A dedicated esports segment will cater to gaming enthusiasts. Console gaming includes TEKKEN and FC-25 at a registration fee of Rs. 1000. System gaming will feature a PUBG tournament with teams of 4 at a fee of Rs. 2000. These competitions promise to attract not only student gamers but also esports lovers from across the city.
