By creating the Centre of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Sybrid Private Limited has partnered with Hazara University (HU) in Pakistan to form a strategic connection and nurture innovation and entrepreneurship in the Hazara area (CIE).
Sybrid, a Lakson Group company, is one of the country’s leading technological solutions providers, offering integrated business solutions to a wide range of organisations throughout the world. Sybrid not only provides exceptional technological solutions, but it also participates in strategic initiatives and has a history of collaborating with higher education institutions to achieve strategic goals.

Hazara University (HU) is one of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s most prominent institutions. It is situated in the historic and strategically significant Hazara region, and its workers (particularly researchers and scientists) are experts in tourism, agriculture, information technology, management sciences, social sciences, and other fields.

Atif Khan, the Provincial Minister of Information Technology for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and officials from Hazara University, including Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad and Sybrid’s CEO Ather Imran Nawaz, inaugurated the CIE on Tuesday, December 07, 2021, in Mansehra, Pakistan. Atif Khan praised both parties’ efforts to foster innovation in the region and promised to offer all necessary support at the provincial level.

Sybrid’s CEO, Ather Imran Nawaz, stated, “The centre will serve as an innovation hub through joint projects between Sybrid along with the researchers and students of Hazara University, specially focussing in the areas of tourism, agriculture, IT services and solutions around social impact. We also want to actively work with the community of the Hazara region to achieve these goals for the progress of the region.”

Hazara University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad, added, “This centre will serve as a catalyst for the overall region’s progress. We will bring together the expertise and competencies of Hazara University and its associates along with Sybrid and Lakson Group for the progress of its community.”

The CIE would act as a hub for collaborative projects and initiatives with a focus on innovation and the development of new goods and services, initially in the Hazara area and eventually across Pakistan.
