Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ghulam Nabi Memon has unveiled a new mobile application that allows citizens to verify arms licenses, airport entry permissions, and personal details from the comfort of their homes.
The app was launched at the Special Branch office in Karachi, where the IGP also received a briefing on the current crime situation in the province. According to the briefing, street crime incidents have decreased compared to the previous year due to increased efforts to curb criminal activities, including the crackdown on scrap dealers and mobile phone theft.
IGP Memon directed the Special Branch to establish a digital database for tracking criminals and to restructure the department to meet evolving challenges.
