Roshan Digital Account (RDA) initiative has achieved a significant milestone, with gross total inflows surpassing the $10 billion mark and the number of accounts opened by overseas Pakistanis reaching 800,000. This achievement underscores the continued trust and confidence that non-resident Pakistanis have placed in this platform, which was launched by SBP to facilitate digital banking and investment opportunities for the diaspora.

Since its inception, the RDA has provided a streamlined and efficient channel for overseas Pakistanis to engage with Pakistan’s financial system, offering services such as account opening, funds transfer, and investment in various instruments, including Naya Pakistan Certificates. The substantial inflows and growing number of accounts reflect the success of the initiative in attracting foreign investment and strengthening the country’s foreign exchange reserves.

The SBP has been proactive in enhancing the features of the RDA to cater to the evolving needs of overseas Pakistanis. These efforts have contributed to the increasing popularity of the RDA among the diaspora, leading to the impressive milestones recently achieved.

The Pakistani government and the SBP have expressed their gratitude to overseas Pakistanis for their unwavering support and trust in the RDA initiative. This continued engagement is seen as a testament to the strong bond between Pakistan and its diaspora, as well as the potential for further collaboration to drive economic growth and development.
