PSEB has successfully conducted a mentorship session under its Global Accelerator and Innovation Network programme for registered information technology companies, focusing on Responsible Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence Governance, Artificial Intelligence for Good, and Inclusive Innovation, bringing a globally experienced advisor directly into conversation with Pakistan’s information technology export community.
The session was led by Zahra Shah, a global Artificial Intelligence advisor, board member, and investor representing NexaQuanta, UKAI Women in AI, and OPEN London CIC. Drawing on extensive experience across capital markets, investment banking, and technology entrepreneurship, Shah guided participants through a discussion that moved from foundational Artificial Intelligence ethics and governance frameworks to the more commercially practical dimensions of scaling technology businesses, including how to approach initial public offering pathways, what institutional investors expect from Artificial Intelligence-integrated companies, and how to develop capital strategies that support sustainable long-term growth. The combination of governance depth and commercial pragmatism gave the session a character well suited to an audience of both early-stage startups and established information technology exporters seeking to position themselves for the next phase of international market engagement.
The Global Accelerator and Innovation Network is PSEB’s structured initiative to connect Pakistan’s registered information technology companies with global diaspora networks, international experts, and institutional knowledge that would otherwise be difficult to access from within the country. Sessions of this nature are designed to give Pakistani technology firms exposure to the thinking, standards, and expectations that govern technology business in major global markets, helping local companies close the gap between their current capabilities and what is required to compete and scale internationally. PSEB has encouraged information technology companies that are not yet registered to do so in order to gain access to the full range of global market facilitation, diaspora network connections, and mentorship opportunities that the board makes available through programmes such as the Global Accelerator and Innovation Network.
