The School of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Institute of Business Administration Karachi hosted its Computer Science Final Year Project Exhibition 2026 at the Alumni-Student Centre on the main campus, bringing together 42 final year student groups alongside a broad gathering of industry professionals, academics, and alumni in what organisers described as more than a standard academic showcase.

The event drew representatives from some of Pakistan’s most prominent technology and corporate organisations, including IBM, Unilever, 10Pearls Pakistan, SpurSol, Astera Careers, Contour Software, Conrad Labs, and the National Incubation Center Karachi, alongside academics from Habib University, Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, and NED University of Engineering and Technology. The presence of evaluators from across the industry and academic spectrum created an environment where student projects were assessed not only on academic merit but on real-world viability, commercial potential, and technical execution, giving the exhibition a professional weight that extended well beyond a conventional university grading exercise.

The outcomes reflected that dynamic directly. Several students received job offers on the day of the exhibition itself, while others were extended formal interview invitations from participating companies. A number of projects also attracted exploratory interest from industry professionals considering them for startup development, suggesting that the exhibition functioned as an early-stage pipeline for both talent acquisition and technology commercialisation. For the Institute of Business Administration, the results validate the purpose behind organising such events, which is not simply to conclude an academic semester but to create structured moments of contact between emerging technology talent and the organisations that need it, at a stage where those connections can materially shape a graduate’s professional trajectory from the outset of their career.
