The application deadline for free digital skills training at Dow Skills Development Centre has been extended to June 14, 2026, giving eligible candidates additional time to register for government-certified courses offered under the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission and Prime Minister Youth Programme’s Skills of Tomorrow initiative.

The programme is offering six courses free of charge, all of which are government-certified and internationally recognised, covering some of the most in-demand skill areas in the current digital economy. The available courses include Artificial Intelligence Financial Analyst with Power Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence for Everyone, Artificial Intelligence-Powered E-Commerce, Earning Money Through Freelancing, Artificial Intelligence Augmented Graphic Design and Video Editing, and Artificial Intelligence Augmented Digital Marketing and Search Engine Optimisation. The breadth of the curriculum reflects a deliberate effort to address multiple entry points into the digital workforce, from data analytics and e-commerce to creative services and independent freelancing, ensuring that participants with different interests and career goals can find a relevant pathway within the same programme.

Training is delivered through modern computer laboratories with hands-on practical instruction by expert trainers, placing the focus on usable, employment-ready skills rather than theoretical content. The programme is designed to open freelancing and formal employment opportunities for participants upon completion, aligning with the national agenda to grow Pakistan’s digital export capacity through an upskilled young workforce. Eligibility requires candidates to have completed intermediate-level education, with the Power Business Intelligence course specifically requiring a minimum of 14 years of formal education. Interested applicants can register through the NAVTTC Skills Information System portal, and further queries can be directed via WhatsApp to 0319-366-3732.

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
