Pro AI Global, one of Pakistan’s most active artificial intelligence community platforms, has announced the Global AI Impact Awards 2026 Pakistan Edition, a merit-based recognition programme designed to identify and celebrate the organisations, innovators, startups, researchers, educators, and change-makers who are driving real-world artificial intelligence impact across Pakistan. The announcement follows the success of the Global AI Summit 2024, which established Pro AI Global as a credible convener of Pakistan’s artificial intelligence ecosystem, and marks the platform’s next significant initiative in building recognition infrastructure for the country’s growing artificial intelligence community.

The awards programme will cover 17 categories spanning the breadth of artificial intelligence application across Pakistan’s economy and society. Sector-specific categories include artificial intelligence in banking and financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing and Industry 4.0, textile and apparel, retail and e-commerce, logistics and supply chain, education and educational technology, energy and sustainability, cybersecurity, and government and public sector. Cross-sector recognition categories include Artificial Intelligence Startup of the Year, Artificial Intelligence Innovation Excellence Award, Artificial Intelligence Transformation Excellence Award, Artificial Intelligence Organisation of the Year, Women in Artificial Intelligence, and Artificial Intelligence Leadership and Contribution Awards. The breadth of categories reflects the increasingly diverse range of domains in which Pakistani organisations are deploying artificial intelligence solutions, moving well beyond the technology sector into manufacturing, healthcare, and government administration.

To ensure credibility and transparency in the selection process, all nominations will be evaluated through a merit-based framework overseen by a panel of national and international artificial intelligence experts, industry leaders, researchers, and practitioners. The involvement of an independent expert panel rather than a purely audience-driven voting mechanism is a deliberate choice that positions the Global AI Impact Awards as a substantive professional recognition rather than a popularity contest, giving the awards greater weight among enterprise decision-makers and investors who pay attention to how recognition in the artificial intelligence space is structured and awarded.

Pro AI Global is led by Ammara Aftab, known within Pakistan’s technology community as Pro AI Lady, who has been instrumental in building the country’s artificial intelligence awareness and community engagement over recent years. The full panel of advisors and supporters associated with the initiative includes senior figures from technology, academia, healthcare, cybersecurity, and government. Further details on nomination timelines, eligibility criteria, and the formal evaluation process are expected to be released shortly through the official Pro AI Global platform at www.proaiglobal.com.
