PIA Online Check-In Now Available at Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Quetta, and Skardu Airports

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has expanded its online check-in service to cover additional domestic airports, offering passengers greater convenience when traveling within the country. Travelers flying out of Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Quetta, and Skardu can now access the check-in service via PIA’s official mobile application or website. This digital service is intended to streamline the airport process by helping passengers avoid long queues and reducing check-in time at terminals.

With the addition of these cities, PIA is broadening the scope of its digital transformation efforts. The national carrier is focusing on improving customer experience through enhanced digital touchpoints. The online check-in option, already available at several major airports, allows passengers to select seats and confirm their travel details remotely, reducing dependence on counters at the airport. Passengers are being encouraged to make use of the updated service to enjoy a faster and more seamless experience at the airport.

PIA’s official website (www.piac.com.pk) and the 24/7 customer helpline (021-111-786-786) are available to support travelers seeking assistance or more information regarding the online check-in process. The airline’s emphasis on digital self-service aligns with global trends in air travel, where mobile check-in and contactless processing are becoming standard features, especially post-pandemic. By introducing these options in more cities, PIA is responding to the growing demand for user-friendly, technology-enabled services across the country.

In a separate development, Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIAHCL) has clarified recent media coverage regarding potential flight operations to the United Kingdom. The airline explained that the recent clearance from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA) was granted to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) as a regulatory body and is not specific to any airline, including PIA. This clearance means that Pakistani carriers are now recognized as meeting international aviation safety requirements.

However, the clarification further stated that Pakistani airlines still need to apply individually for operating licenses and obtain route-specific approvals before they can resume any commercial services to the UK. PIA noted that references in the media suggesting the airline was resuming flights to the UK were premature and symbolic. No final schedule or clearance specific to PIA has been issued for direct services to the UK at this time.

These updates reflect a broader shift within Pakistan’s aviation sector toward digital adoption and regulatory alignment with international standards. As part of its service modernization efforts, PIA continues to prioritize ease of travel for its passengers while ensuring compliance with global aviation safety norms. The extension of digital check-in options to more cities is a step in that direction, enhancing domestic travel comfort while aligning with evolving passenger expectations.
