PayFast, has announced a landmark partnership with Google Pay, making it the first fintech in Pakistan to introduce this globally recognized digital payment solution. This collaboration is set to transform the online shopping experience by offering seamless, secure, and efficient transactions for consumers and merchants alike.

With this integration, PayFast merchants can now provide their customers with a frictionless checkout experience, allowing them to complete transactions with Google Pay on their favorite eCommerce platforms powered by PayFast. Google Pay enables users to securely store their card details and make quick payments without the need for manual card entry, significantly reducing checkout times and improving overall convenience.

The partnership also brings Google Pay’s powerful ecosystem to Pakistani consumers. Google Pay is linked to the Google Wallet app, enabling users to manage multiple payment methods in one place, pay bills directly from their smartphones, and make secure online transactions with just a tap. This not only enhances user experience but also promotes the adoption of digital payments in Pakistan’s growing eCommerce landscape. Speaking on the occasion, Adnan Ali, CEO of PayFast, highlighted the significance of this development, stating,

“This partnership is a major step toward simplifying digital transactions and empowering businesses with innovative payment solutions. With Google Pay, we are making online shopping faster, safer, and more accessible for both merchants and consumers.”

Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Arshad Raza, Chairman of Premier Systems, emphasized the impact of this collaboration on Pakistan’s digital economy.

“The addition of Google Pay to our platform marks a new era of convenience and security in Pakistan’s digital payments landscape. Our goal has always been to drive financial inclusion and provide cutting-edge payment solutions that cater to the evolving needs of businesses and customers alike. We are excited to see the positive impact this will bring to the eCommerce industry.”

For merchants, enabling Google Pay on their PayFast accounts is a straightforward process, as the feature can be integrated seamlessly through their existing payment setup. This ensures that businesses of all sizes can take advantage of the new payment method without facing technical hurdles.

PayFast has established itself as a key player in Pakistan’s fintech sector, enabling businesses to accept online payments with ease. Trusted by over half of the country’s eCommerce industry, the platform currently serves more than 7,000 businesses. By introducing Google Pay, PayFast continues to push the boundaries of digital payment innovation, further strengthening its position as a leader in the digital financial ecosystem.

This milestone not only benefits businesses and consumers but also aligns with Pakistan’s broader vision of financial inclusion and digital transformation. The partnership is expected to accelerate the adoption of cashless transactions, creating a more robust and modernized payment infrastructure in the country.
