JazzCash, Pakistan’s leading digital financial services provider, has announced the launch of Sehat+, a new health protection platform integrated directly into the JazzCash app. The launch marks a significant expansion of JazzCash’s service offering beyond its core payments and financial services business, positioning the platform as a comprehensive digital ecosystem that now spans health coverage, insurance, and medical financing for its millions of users across the country.

Developed in collaboration with EFU Life Assurance, Sehat+ allows customers to compare and select health insurance plans, access small-ticket cashless insurance for individuals and families at EFU Life panel hospitals, and receive instant digital health cards that eliminate the need for physical documentation at the point of care. The platform also enables users to locate verified hospitals, secure instant health financing for medical needs, consult doctors online, and access healthcare discounts and offers, all from within the existing JazzCash application. To improve accessibility for Pakistan’s underserved segments and support informed decision-making, Sehat+ has also been made available with an Urdu-language interface, a feature the company says is central to its goal of reaching users who may be less comfortable navigating financial and health services in English.

Aamir Aftab, Chief Product Officer of JazzCash, described the launch as an expansion of the company’s ecosystem into health and protection services, with the aim of offering affordable and accessible health coverage solutions to millions of Pakistanis. He noted that the introduction of Urdu-enabled support and flexible payment plans is designed specifically to address gaps in health coverage access across the country. The focus on small-ticket insurance plans reflects a deliberate effort to serve individuals and families who have historically had limited access to formal insurance due to cost or complexity barriers. With Sehat+, JazzCash moves closer to its broader ambition of becoming a single unified platform integrating payments, financial services, and health protection for Pakistan’s digital population.
