Pakistan’s presence at Web Summit Vancouver 2025, one of the most influential global technology conferences, marks a major step forward in highlighting the country’s growing digital capabilities. Ignite is a National Technology Fund, operating under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, participated actively in the four-day summit from May 27 to 30, providing a platform to spotlight Pakistan’s progress in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The event brought together global tech leaders, startups, investors, and innovators to exchange ideas and explore future-focused solutions. As part of Pakistan’s delegation, Ignite played a central role in showcasing the country’s vibrant digital ecosystem and the innovation coming out of its tech hubs. The participation signaled a strong commitment from Pakistan to engage on the global stage and contribute meaningfully to the global digital economy.

Two startups, SCool.AI and Voltshare, represented the emerging wave of innovation from Pakistan. SCool.AI, which focuses on AI-driven education, and Voltshare, known for its work in sustainable energy solutions, demonstrated the diverse range of expertise and creative problem-solving emerging from the country’s entrepreneurial sector. Their presence at the summit reflected the kind of forward-thinking ventures Ignite supports under its national innovation framework.

The grand opening night of the summit on May 27 featured representatives from around the world, setting the tone for intense engagement and collaboration. Pakistan’s delegation connected with major stakeholders in the tech industry, engaging in dialogue about emerging markets, digital transformation, and the future of scalable solutions. Strategic partnership discussions and meetings with international firms allowed the delegation to promote investment opportunities and technology collaborations.

One of the standout moments for Pakistan during the summit was a dedicated meetup organized by the Consul General of Pakistan in Vancouver. This meetup brought together Pakistani startups, delegates, and community members for networking and collaboration. It served as a space for reinforcing community ties, fostering tech diplomacy, and encouraging future collaboration between Pakistan’s startups and international networks.

Throughout the summit, Ignite continued to represent Pakistan’s innovation-driven progress and the importance of digital transformation led by public-private initiatives. Its presence underscored efforts by the Ministry of IT & Telecom to promote Pakistan as a dynamic player in the global tech landscape. The summit also provided a valuable opportunity to communicate Pakistan’s readiness to engage in advanced technology domains, from AI and sustainability to cloud computing and platform development.

Pakistan’s engagement at Web Summit Vancouver 2025 demonstrated the country’s commitment to expanding its digital footprint and supporting innovation at all levels. It showcased how public institutions like Ignite are facilitating access to global opportunities for local startups and enabling their participation in conversations shaping the future of technology worldwide.
