With the start of the 19th Annual Graduate Fellowship Program, this initiative’s primary aim is to award PhD students by awarding them grants and providing technical support to students who are doing outstanding GPU-based research. This year’s program has a specific focus towards reaching out to doctoral students wanting to break the barriers in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, autonomous vehicles, robotics, AI for healthcare, high performance computing and related fields. The Graduate Fellowship awards are up to $50,000 per student.
The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program was started in 2002 and has now awarded over 160 Ph.D. graduate students with grants. The program is now open to applicants worldwide. The deadline for submitting applications is September 13, 2019. Eligible graduate students need to be done with their first year of their PhD degree or at least pass the first year of PhD level studies when submitting their application. The areas of study include computer science, computer engineering, system architecture, electrical engineering or any other similar program. Another prerequisite when applying to this program includes being available for attending a mandatory summer internship that must precede the Fellowship award year.
