MiniCon – AI & Beyond is set to take place on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the ICMA Pakistan Head Office in Karachi, bringing together thought leaders from across industry, government, and academia to explore the impact and opportunities of artificial intelligence in Pakistan. Hosted by the Centre of Excellence at ICMA Pakistan, this event is positioned as a timely platform to examine how AI is reshaping the world and what role Pakistan must play in this global shift.

Artificial Intelligence has moved beyond buzzword status and is now embedded across systems of governance, economies, and daily life. As its influence grows, it is reshaping sectors such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, education, and public services. Pakistan, in the midst of its digital transformation journey, is increasingly recognizing the importance of harnessing AI responsibly and strategically. This conference is designed to provide insights into how the country can strengthen its AI policy framework, develop ethical standards, and build capacity to lead in an AI-driven future.

MiniCon aims to facilitate conversations around several key areas. These include the development and implementation of a national AI vision that aligns with global benchmarks while catering to local needs; the application of AI across industries to enable efficiency and intelligent disruption; governance mechanisms that ensure responsible AI deployment; and the evolving skills landscape that requires a digitally literate and innovation-ready workforce. By addressing these interconnected topics, the event offers an opportunity to reflect on the technological choices and readiness required to remain competitive.

The gathering will feature voices from the technology ecosystem, including representatives from regulatory agencies, private sector innovators, academic researchers, and policy analysts. These diverse perspectives are expected to generate rich discussions around the ethical use of AI, the socioeconomic implications of automation, and the frameworks necessary to ensure inclusive access to AI advancements.

Attendees will benefit from actionable insights and shared experiences, especially as the event offers a complimentary and open forum for dialogue. This makes it accessible for a wide range of professionals, students, and stakeholders who are engaged in or curious about Pakistan’s digital evolution. Through focused panels and expert sessions, participants will gain exposure to current trends, case studies, and future scenarios that shape the national and regional AI discourse.

The Centre of Excellence at ICMA Pakistan is playing an instrumental role in convening such discussions, reaffirming its commitment to equipping professionals with forward-facing knowledge and fostering environments where critical thinking and innovation can thrive. As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, initiatives like MiniCon provide an important space to examine how Pakistan can contribute to and benefit from the global AI landscape.
