The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced the Ehsaas Fuel Support Program, a provincial relief initiative that will provide Rs2,000 in monthly financial assistance to registered motorcycle and scooter owners beginning April 6, 2026. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced the scheme under provincial directives, describing it as a targeted measure to ease the burden of rising fuel costs on low-income residents across the province who depend on two-wheelers as their primary mode of transport.
Eligibility for the programme is tied to vehicle ownership status. The motorcycle or scooter must be registered in the applicant’s own name with a completed ownership transfer, meaning vehicles still registered under another individual’s name will not qualify regardless of actual possession. Applications are submitted entirely through the Dastak App, which is available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Applicants are required to first create an account on the platform before entering their vehicle’s registration number and chassis number. The application process also requires the submission of full personal information, including the applicant’s name, father’s name, Computerised National Identity Card number, registered mobile number, complete residential address, and district selection. Supporting documents that must be uploaded include front and back images of the Computerised National Identity Card, the vehicle’s registration book or smart card, a clear photograph of the vehicle, and, in cases where ownership has been transferred, a verification document signed by both the seller and the buyer confirming the transaction.
Once an application is submitted, it undergoes a verification process through the e-Sahulat system, after which final approval or rejection is determined by the Excise and Taxation Office following a review of the submitted documents and confirmation of ownership. Authorities have made clear that applications containing incorrect information or incomplete ownership transfer documentation will be rejected, and applicants will be formally notified of the outcome of their submission following the official verification process. Residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who require guidance or have questions about the programme can reach provincial helplines at 091-9212260 and 091-9211693 during standard office hours.
