JazzWorld and Malala Fund Pakistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance girls’ education across underserved communities in Pakistan, combining digital platform reach with grassroots community engagement to expand educational access for young women in districts where opportunities remain limited.
Under the collaboration, the two organisations will jointly promote girls’ education through Tamasha-led advocacy and awareness initiatives, alongside engagement around key international observances including the International Day of the Girl Child, with educational content developed by Malala Fund Pakistan amplified through JazzWorld’s digital platforms to reach communities and audiences across the country. The partnership will focus on community mobilisation in selected districts spanning Sindh’s Thar region, Khuzdar in Balochistan, Vehari in Punjab, and Charsadda and Shangla in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, targeting areas where access to formal education and digital resources for girls has historically lagged behind national averages. Participants in these districts will gain access to information and services available through the broader JazzWorld ecosystem, including FikrFree, ApnaClinic, and TutorG, extending support beyond education alone into health and personal development resources.
Ali Fahd, President of Jazz Lifestyle Ventures, said digital inclusion must translate into real opportunity, and that the partnership with Malala Fund Pakistan is intended to help young girls gain the digital access needed to pursue their ambitions by combining the reach of JazzWorld’s digital platforms with community engagement and practical learning. Dr. Nishat Riaz, Chief Executive of Malala Fund Pakistan, described the signing as the beginning of a partnership to amplify the voices and aspirations of girls across Pakistan, noting that changing attitudes is as important as changing policies and that JazzWorld’s reach through the Tamasha platform offers a powerful way to pursue both objectives simultaneously.
The partnership reflects a broader pattern of private sector technology platforms in Pakistan increasingly aligning their digital infrastructure with social development objectives, particularly around closing gender gaps in education and digital access. By combining advocacy, technology, and direct community engagement across five geographically and economically diverse districts, JazzWorld and Malala Fund Pakistan are positioning the collaboration as a model for using telecom-scale digital reach to support targeted social outcomes, with both organisations framing the effort as a long-term commitment to expanding the participation of young women in Pakistan’s social and economic future.
