JazzCash solidifies its position as the undisputed leader in Pakistan’s burgeoning financial ecosystem, according to data recently released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

With a staggering 50% share, or 17 million, of the total 35 million RAAST IDs issued nationwide, JazzCash stands tall as the market leader. This dominance is further underscored by the central bank’s Payment Systems Review for Q2 FY2023-24, revealing that JazzCash processed a remarkable 75 million RAAST transactions compared to the combined 107 million transactions processed by traditional banks and microfinance banks (MFBs).

JazzCash’s influence extends far beyond RAAST. Their 44 million registered users represent a significant 50% of Pakistan’s ever-evolving branchless banking network. The company’s digital prowess shines through with 22 million app users, constituting roughly 34% of all branchless banking app users in the country.

Their vast agent network of 240,000 agents plays a crucial role in digitizing cash, processing over Rs. 100 billion every month. Additionally, 300,000 JazzCash merchants facilitated QR payments worth Rs. 12 billion per month during the reviewed period.

JazzCash’s commitment to driving financial inclusion in Pakistan remains unwavering. As they continue to shape the RAAST ecosystem and pave the way for a more inclusive future, their focus remains on efficiency, inclusivity, and innovation. The company looks forward to fostering positive change and creating opportunities for all stakeholders within the Pakistani financial sector.
