JazzCash was announced winner in the category Mobile Finance for Women. The award was received by CEO Jazz Aamir Ibrahim and Aniqa Afzal Sandhu, Head of Digital and Mobile Financial Services at JazzCash. Aamir Ibrahim took the stage to thank GSMA and his own team, while saying:
Delighted! I would like to dedicate this award to the hundred million inspiring and strong women in Pakistan. It’s so appropriate that Aniqa who’s head of our digital initiatives & MFS at Jazz is here with me (spotting tears in her eyes!).
In a heartfelt moment, CEO Jazz lauded the efforts of the JazzCash team and addressed Aniqa Afzal on stage, adding:
“It’s a lot of hard work and effort of 4-5 years and I am so proud of you and so proud of the initiatives that you’ve taken for taking the women forward in our country.”
