iTANZ Technologies Limited has taken a step toward contributing to Pakistan’s evolving smart city and digital transformation ecosystem, with company CEO Syed Asim Zaffar meeting Dr. Sohail Munir, Chairperson of the Pakistan Digital Authority, at PDA headquarters in Islamabad. Zaffar was accompanied by Amer K., Chief Growth Officer for the Middle East and Africa region at iTANZ Technologies, and Sanie Khan, Executive Director at Floret Capitals, for a discussion centered on Pakistan’s policy and regulatory direction for smart city digital infrastructure.
The engagement focused specifically on understanding the country’s approach to the Digital Nation vision and the role of secure, interoperable and citizen focused technology in enabling future public services, an area that falls directly under the Pakistan Digital Authority’s mandate. The PDA was established under the Digital Nation Pakistan Act of 2025 as a statutory body tasked with developing and implementing the National Digital Masterplan, fostering digital public infrastructure, and promoting a broader digital society, economy and governance framework across the country.
iTANZ brings smart city and local government technology experience spanning 22 local government jurisdictions in Australia, giving the company practical exposure to the technology, integration and operational requirements involved in building more connected and digitally enabled public services. A significant portion of iTANZ’s international delivery model is supported by Pakistani technology professionals and development talent, connecting locally developed expertise with technology projects serving markets abroad. As the company continues expanding its presence across Australia, the United Kingdom and the Middle East, it sees an opportunity to bring that accumulated international experience back into Pakistan’s own digital transformation efforts.
For iTANZ, the meeting with PDA represents a step toward understanding how its international experience, technology capabilities and smart city solutions could align with Pakistan’s national priorities, regulatory direction and future digital infrastructure requirements. The engagement reflects the company’s broader ambition to become an active private sector participant in Pakistan’s digital transformation ecosystem, exploring how internationally proven implementation knowledge combined with Pakistani technology talent could support the country’s journey toward more connected, efficient, secure and citizen focused digital cities and public services.
