Pakistan’s coding community is in for a thrilling ride as Ignite – National Technology Fund officially launches the Digital Pakistan Speed Programming Competition 2025, branded as codePK. This national-level, team-based programming contest aims to empower students in Computer Science and Engineering by pushing their coding limits, fostering innovation, and building a new generation of problem solvers and tech leaders.

Open to students across universities in Pakistan, codePK 2025 offers a platform where the country’s brightest young minds can test their algorithmic thinking, collaborate under pressure, and compete for national recognition and cash prizes. The event has been designed to mirror real-world programming challenges, enabling participants to sharpen their skills while engaging in a high-energy, time-sensitive environment that emphasizes teamwork and quick thinking.

With a strong emphasis on inclusion and regional representation, regional training and mock rounds are being held in major cities including Karachi, Quetta, Multan, Lahore, Peshawar, and Islamabad, providing aspiring coders from all corners of the country with the opportunity to participate and refine their approach before the main competition.

The competition supports programming in Java, C/C++/.Net, and Python, ensuring that students from a variety of educational backgrounds and coding preferences can join in. Alongside the technical skills, participants will benefit from a deep dive into time management, exposure to emerging technologies, and the adrenaline rush of competitive problem-solving.

Winners of codePK 2025 will not only receive substantial cash prizes—Rs. 1.5 million for the champion team, Rs. 1 million for the first runner-up, and Rs. 500,000 for the second runner-up—but also gain national recognition and the potential to represent Pakistan on international tech stages. It’s a golden opportunity for students to transition from the classroom to the global arena.

The competition is part of a broader initiative by Ignite and the Ministry of IT & Telecom to foster a #DigitalPakistan by investing in youth talent and innovation. Through events like codePK, the goal is to equip the next generation with the skills, exposure, and confidence needed to lead in the global tech economy.

Registration for the event is completely free, but with limited seats available, early sign-ups are strongly encouraged. The registration deadline is May 30, 2025, and interested students can register at https://www.ignitecode.org.pk/get-registered.

With support from key players in the local startup and tech ecosystem, including National Incubation Centers across Peshawar, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Quetta, and Karachi, as well as the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and Tech Destination Pakistan, codePK 2025 is shaping up to be one of the largest and most impactful coding events the country has ever seen.

If you’re a student passionate about technology and eager to compete at a national level—this is your moment. Unleash your coding skills, solve real-world problems, and help lead Pakistan into a digital future.
