IBA Karachi’s School of Mathematics and Computer Science (SMCS) recently held its annual Final Year Projects exhibition, a testament to the ingenuity of its graduating Bachelor of Science in Computer Science students. Over 45 impressive projects were on display, all tackling real-world challenges in various domains like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Natural Language Processing.

The exhibition attracted a distinguished audience of industry leaders and academics, eager to see the future of technology through the fresh perspectives of these promising young minds. Some of the standout projects included a no-code platform for creating custom chatbots and AI agents. This project empowers users without extensive coding knowledge, potentially revolutionizing how businesses and individuals interact.

Another project embraced the power of Augmented Reality (AR) by allowing users to virtually try on clothes. This innovation can significantly enhance the online shopping experience and help users make informed purchasing decisions.

The world of sports got a touch of AI with a project that uses Deep Learning to generate and analyze football data. This can provide valuable insights for coaches, scouts, and even fans who want to delve deeper into the beautiful game.

Fitness enthusiasts might be interested in the AI Gym Instructor project. This virtual AI companion offers personalized guidance through workouts, promoting a more tailored approach to fitness.

Bridging the communication gap was a project that created a system for recognizing Urdu Braille. This fosters inclusivity for visually impaired individuals by providing a crucial tool for communication.

The exhibition also showcased a project focused on autonomous drone navigation with Software-In-The-Loop (SITL) simulation. This paves the way for safer and more efficient drone operations in the future.

Finally, a project titled Skills Targeted Assessment and Review (STAR) aims to streamline the process of assessing and reviewing skill development. This can be a valuable tool for educators and trainers looking to optimize their teaching methods.

These are just a few examples of the exceptional work displayed at the exhibition. The innovative spirit and technical prowess of IBA Karachi’s graduating computer science students offer a promising glimpse into the future of technology in Pakistan.
