Google Developer Group Islamabad successfully concluded DevFest Islamabad 2025 at Ramada Islamabad, attracting more than 300 participants from across Pakistan. The event brought together developers, students, entrepreneurs, policymakers, media representatives, and technology leaders to discuss emerging trends in artificial intelligence, digital trust, and Pakistan’s expanding role in the global tech ecosystem. This year, the conference focused on the practical applications of AI, Google technologies, and responsible innovation, emphasizing productivity, security, and ethical deployment in Pakistan’s rapidly growing digital economy.

The event was led by GDG Islamabad Co-Managers Sarwat Rizvi, Muhammad Umar Nazir, and Ali Naqi Rizvi, who welcomed attendees and acknowledged the support of sponsors and partners. The conference featured interactive sessions, energizers, and giveaways that encouraged community engagement alongside technical learning. Secretary IT and Telecommunication Zarrar Hasham Khan attended as Chief Guest, highlighting the importance of platforms like DevFest in fostering collaboration between government, industry, and developers. He shared updates on national and provincial initiatives focused on upskilling Pakistan’s workforce through targeted training programs, industry-academia collaboration, and AI adoption as a key driver for participation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In an exclusive conversation with TechJuice, Zarrar Hasham Khan also provided insights into Pakistan’s 5G launch expected next year.

Several keynote and technical sessions explored AI’s commercial and practical impact. Aziz Kassamali, Founder of BogoLiv, highlighted entrepreneurship and the importance of individual initiative in scaling globally and contributing to national progress. Ali Naqi Rizvi delivered an in-depth session on Gemini 3.0, focusing on its advanced reasoning, automation, and agentic capabilities designed to manage complex workflows. Google Software Engineer Daniyal Khalid introduced Antigravity, a next-generation AI development platform aimed at building trustworthy AI agents through structured verification and reliability frameworks. Other sessions covered AI in education, retrieval-augmented generation, secure deployment of large language models, and addressing challenges related to synthetic content and digital responsibility.

A parallel workshop titled “Zero Syntax, Just Vibes,” led by Arbisoft’s Ibrahim Khan, demonstrated how AI tools combined with design thinking are lowering barriers to product creation, enabling participants to build solutions without extensive coding expertise. The conference concluded with a networking session and partner-supported giveaways, reinforcing DevFest’s dual role as a learning hub and a platform for collaboration. Supported by Google, with BogoLiv as Title Sponsor, TechJuice as Media Partner, and LMKR as Silver Sponsor, DevFest Islamabad 2025 reflected Pakistan’s accelerating momentum in AI innovation, digital literacy, and community-driven technology development.
