Code for Pakistan is organizing its Civic Hackathon on the 7th to 9th of December 2018 at the National Incubation Center in Islamabad. The 3 day long day Hackathon will see civic minded tech enthusiasts utilize their talent and creative skills in line with 5 of the selected SDG’s for better livelihood in Pakistan.
The weekend brings a chance to pair up and learn design thinking, open-source hacking for social good and also receive mentoring and input from domain experts in government and local organizations. The hackathon brings with it opportunities to network, and work in teams to create solutions — without any registration cost at all.

Participants will form teams to create prototypes addressing civic and social problems in line with the Sustainable Development Goals initiative of the UN. All you need to do is bring your creativity, skills, and enthusiasm!
UNDP, World Bank Pakistan, Ignite, SDPI, Planning Commission, NIC Islamabad and NIC Peshawar are also partners for the event. The objective of this hackathon is to create prototypes that address civic and social problems in line with the Sustainable Development Goals initiative of the UN. Specifically targeting this time, are areas including:
- Good Health and Wellbeing
- Quality Education
- Gender Equality
- Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
- Sustainable Cities and Communities
IDG Pakistan is the Outreach Partners for the Civic Hackathon.
