Zindigi Prize, Pakistan’s first homegrown entrepreneurial community by Zindigi – powered by JS Bank, has made its debut on the global stage with its inaugural regional competition in Kenya. This landmark event, held at St. Paul’s University, Limuru Campus, marked a new chapter in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation worldwide.
The Kenya Regionals brought together over 50 startups representing universities from across the country. The event showcased an inspiring blend of innovative pitches, impactful speeches, and cultural performances, creating an electrifying atmosphere of creativity and collaboration. Distinguished guests included Dr. Abraham, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academics at St. Paul’s University, and Lenox Omondi, CEO and Founder of Ecobana, one of Africa’s leading startups. Alongside these luminaries, more than 10 judges and industry experts offered insights and mentorship to the young entrepreneurs, adding depth and value to the proceedings.
The competition culminated in a display of exceptional talent and vision. NanaHeal Enterprise, representing Mount Kenya University, claimed the top position with their innovative entrepreneurial concept. The first runner-up, Rizz, hailed from Africa Nazarene University, while TransSpotter, from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, secured the second runner-up spot. These winning projects exemplified ingenuity and a strong commitment to addressing societal challenges through entrepreneurship.
