YouTube Launches Podcasts on Explore Tab, Enhancing User Experience with Integrated Platform

Months after a leak in March revealed the company’s ambitions to create a “podcast destination page,” YouTube has included podcasts to its “Explore” tab.

The newly launched YouTube.com/podcasts has a link to the current Explore page.

YouTube is frequently used as the centre for podcast streaming, and it was anticipated that the service would improve. Although it is gradually being implemented in other countries, the change appears to have occurred in July.

On desktop and mobile applications, the capability is present, and the carousels may be enlarged to show “Show all,” for “Popular episodes,” “Popular podcast playlists,” “Recommended,” and “Popular podcast producers.”

Standard video thumbnails are available for browsing, and a simple press on an Android device will start the movie playing in a regular player rather than the default “Listening controls.” To like, save, and change the playing speed, there are bigger buttons and shortcuts.

As YouTube incorporates podcasts on the same platform rather than developing a separate app, the podcast experience could soon become more user-friendly.
