WECON Returns For Round 2

The Women Entrepreneurship Conference (WECON) is a initiative to empower women to take part in the economic development of Pakistan. Coming back again this year for its second run, the theme of the conference is INCLUSION i.e. Including Women In Economic Development. The whole day conference will facilitate learning and in depth analysis, around creating inclusive environment for aspiring and existing women entrepreneurs.

 

The event is to take place on the 31st of March 2018 in Lahore, and the conference is to feature accomplished women entrepreneurs to share their success stories with the audience. Furthermore, the WECON will host three panel discussions to create, celebrate, and cultivate women entrepreneurship in Pakistan. The panelists will include entrepreneurial ecosystem enablers, policy makers, and various head of institutes along with young and accomplished entrepreneurs.

 

The WECON Awards will also be held simultaneously, the eligibility criteria for the awards are: Nominations must be for a woman-owned or woman working in business in the region and must show evidence of determination and drive. Demonstrate a great business idea or acumen. Show a thorough understanding of their marketplace (market research). Provide financial data for the last year. Provide at least two references.
