Takhleeq the premier startup incubation center at University of Central Punjab (UCP) is now accepting applications for its second cohort. Takhleeq is also to host a five-day pre-induction bootcamp, which will not only serve as a filtering exercise but also impart team building skills to the applicants.
The incubation center will also be inviting parents and guardians of young entrepreneurs to help them understand and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of their children.
As seen with its first cohort, Takhleeq is known to incubate a diverse spectrum of startups that are not limited to building technology products. The startups that have been incubated in the first cohort have been solving a diverse set of problems of fashion, logistics, life sciences, agriculture and food consumption.
For the second cohort Takhleeq is looking for startups working in the sectors such as tourism, food and beverages, art, media, and design, growing family business.
The Head of Takhleeq, Bilal Zafar talking to the local news said, “Being the second generation of incubators, Takhleeq is aware of the realities of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. We are not trying to replicate another Silicon Valley incubator. Takhleeq is focusing on incubating startups that are solving local niche problems to increase the population of entrepreneurs in the country.”
