Enabling Quicker Remittances: WorldRemit makes its way to Pakistan

Once upon a time, the very thought of transferring money online or giving your card details used to be frowned upon as people were reluctant to give their details in case of being robbed, and traditional banking methods were always preferred for handling hard earned money.

But fast forward a decade – give or take – and the times have surely changed with services such as Android Pay and Apple Pay that sync your account to your phone and make dealing with money a piece of cake.

There has certainly been a boom in the emergence of mobile wallets and mobile accounts that have made transferring money as easy as swiping left and right. Pakistan, albeit slowly, is also moving towards these services.

Many international payment services have made their way to the Pakistani market, although we are still waiting on Paypal, but the prevalence of secure data systems and online money transfer services has certainly changed the way the consumers re-evaluate their approach to handling their cash.

One of the international money transferring company to have set its foot in Pakistan is WorldRemit, from Islamabad to Karachi they have the entire country covered. WorldRemit offers fast and simple ways to send money to friends and family; offer industry-leading payment security; and can be used on a computer, smartphone or tablet.

Their services include: Bank deposit, within 2 working days to personal accounts at all major banks within 2 working days, however they do not transfer to business accounts; Cash pickup, instant transfer. Cash is available to be collected instantly from major banks; send money to and from JazzCash accounts in Pakistan it offers a wide range of benefits, including sending and receiving money, paying utility bills, mobile top-up (all operators), loan repayments, online payments, and much more!; Mobile airtime for Jazz, Ufone, Warid, Telenor, and Zong.
The WorldRemit app is also available on Android and iOS.
