Applications have opened for a free three-day AI Powered Workforce Readiness Bootcamp aimed at young people aged 18 to 24 based in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, supported by the US Mission to Pakistan in partnership with the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network. The program is designed to equip young professionals and students with practical artificial intelligence competencies, tools, and career navigation strategies suited to the modern digital economy.
The bootcamp is scheduled to run from August 7 to 9, 2026, in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, with the application deadline set for August 1, 2026. The program is free of cost and combines an intensive workforce readiness bootcamp with a mentorship component, aiming to give participants hands on exposure to AI tools alongside practical guidance on navigating career opportunities in an AI driven job market.
The initiative is being run under the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network, which connects Pakistani participants of past US government sponsored exchange programs with ongoing professional development opportunities. Usman Nazir is listed as the project partner, with Shafeeq Gigyani and Shahab Ud Din supporting the project team, reflecting a structured effort to deliver targeted AI skills training to young people in the twin cities.
The bootcamp adds to a growing number of AI focused training initiatives launched across Pakistan over the past year, as government bodies, private companies, and international missions increasingly focus on building practical AI competencies among young professionals and students. With eligibility capped at ages 18 to 24 and a short application window ahead of the August 7 start date, the program is positioned to give a defined cohort of young people in Islamabad and Rawalpindi direct, hands on exposure to AI powered workforce readiness training within a compressed timeframe.
