The University of Peshawar recently hosted a Science Expo at the PUTA hall. The expo captivated the populace from different domains and was organized by the Science Journalism Society of Pakistan and Peshawar University Teachers Association.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamran Bangesh, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Science and Information Technology, said “today’s era is the science and technology-era and all citizens should work hard. In this regard, the provincial government was dedicated to nurturing science and technology by captivating all potential steps.”
General Secretary Muhammad Shahid speaking on the occasion said, “Just like other genres of journalism, Science Journalism needs to be promoted in the country as it can offer solutions to different problems and lead to improvement in the living standards of people.”
The event was chaired by Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal, patron of SJSP; Strategic consultant Dr Fahad Khan Afridi; Advocate Ashraf Khan Gadoon; PUTA President Prof Dr Fazal Nasir; Chairman Dr Mehbob-ur-Rehman of Mehbob Medical Institute Peshawar; and Prof Dr Muhammad Imran Qureshi of Peshawar Medical College.
