10Pearls and National Geographic Release the New GeoBee Challenge App

10Pearls is proud to announce the release of the new, and improved, GeoBee Challenge App. Each year thousands of schools in the United States participate in the National Geographic Bee using materials prepared by the National Geographic Society. The competition is designed to encourage geography in the classroom, ignite student interest in the world around them, and increase public awareness about geography. 

HBL and Warid Shake Hands online bill payment 

HBL signed an agreement with Warid Telecom to implement an online payment solution.
Once implemented, the solution will allow Warid’s customers to pay their postpaid bills on Warid’s website, using any debit card or credit card. The technology back-end of the system will be provided by CyberSource, Visa’s internet acquiring payments system. 

Billionaire Pat McGovern, Founder of IDG, Dies at 76

Media pioneer Patrick McGovern died at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto at the age of 76.  McGovern was the founder and chairman of International Data Group, which publishes 200 magazines, operates 460 websites and produces 700 events in 79 countries around the world. Its most well-known magazine, PC World, with 39 million readers in 49 countries, announced in July 2013 that it would move to an all-digital format in the U.S.

Mobilink Rolls Out Pakistan’s Largest 3G Ready Networks

Mobilink has announced that it will complete the roll out Pakistan’s most modernized and largest 3G ready network with more than 9000 cell sites across the country by July 2014. The network modernization is in line with Mobilink’s strategy to provide its customers with best voice quality and fastest data speeds. The initiative was enabled by VimpelCom with investments made on various fronts including network modernization taking its total investment in Pakistan to USD 4.3 billion.
