Samsung instigating Curved UHD TV’s in Pakistan

Samsung introduced its first Ultra High Definition (UHD) TV series in Pakistan.  Mr. John Park, MD Samsung Pakistan, told media about Samsung curved TV series at Expo centre in Lahore. The officials announced that, it will give viewers a more realistic view, even from different angles. It contains “Depth Enhancer” software feature, which will give a 3D look. In addition, it also has the capability to convert lower resolution contents into UHD picture quality, giving a better view. The 55-inch model will cost around Rs. 500000.

Mobilink announced winner for The Rising Star Competition 2014

 Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute has won Rising Star Competition 2014.  The winners received Rising Star Trophy 2014 and a winning prize of Rs. 1.5 million. The members of winning team will be given internship opportunity at Mobilink, electronic gadgets, opportunity to star in the Mobilink Employer Branding Video, workshops at Mobilink Learning Centre and membership of Mobilink Foundation. Sadia Ahmad Vice President HR Mobilink appreciated the winning team. Moreover, Mr. Rashid Khan President and Chief Executive Officer Mobilink said Mobilink will not step back in nurturing Pakistani youth.

Pakistan to introduce world’s largest Solar Power Plant

Quaid-E-Azam Solar Park Project is a joint venture of Government of Punjab, Bank of Punjab and TBEA Ltd. of China.  In December, this solar power plant will start generating 100 Megawatts, and by 2016 its output will reach 1000 Megawatts. The expected life is 25 years. The plant comprises of 400000 solar panels. The estimated cost of this plant is $131 million. After it is completed, it will have the capacity to generate 2.5 times power, then 392 MW Ivanpah solar-thermal plant in California does. In this respect, 10 power projects have been set up in Thar to utilize heat for power generation.
