A step by IDG to bring the local business community together

International Data Group (IDG) hosted two excecutive sessions at Movenpick Hotel in Karachi to encourage  dialouge between the local business community.  The event was attended by the CFOs and CSOs of different industries, including, textile, pharmaceutical, logistics, manufacturing, education and financial service sector. CIOs CSOs from UBL, Bank Al-Habib, KASB, Engro Corp., Dubai Islamic Bank, Candy Land, NBP, Philips Pakistan and many other leading banks were present at the event.

 HEC signs an agreement with PTCL

PTCL and HEC made an agreement to facilitate the students under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Program.  This agreement was signed by Director General IT and Basharat Qureshi, Executive Vice President Corporate Sales PTCL. According to the agreement, HEC will purchase 100,000 EVO devices from PTCL to facilitate students. Internet facility will be provided only to talented students on special monthly rates. After the request is sent by students to Customer Service Center, the device will activate in 72 hours. The device will activate on default packages, but after a month either it will be shifted to any of the EVO packages with 20% discount or will continue on default program.
