TechBaithak has opened nominations for its Freelancers Awards 2026, an initiative aimed at recognizing Pakistani freelancers building global careers and delivering work for clients around the world. The awards are designed to celebrate the contribution of freelance professionals to the country’s growing digital economy.

The award categories include Freelancer of the Year, Top Rated Freelancer Award, Rising Freelancer Award, Women Freelancer Award, Export Excellence Award, and Community Impact Award, covering a range of achievements from overall career success to specific contributions like export earnings and community engagement. The breadth of categories is intended to recognize different types of accomplishment within Pakistan’s freelance workforce rather than a single measure of success.

Eligibility is open to Pakistani freelancers with proven achievements and a minimum of one year of freelancing experience. Applicants are required to provide verified income or payment proof along with a strong portfolio and professional profile as part of their submission, with organizers directing interested freelancers to review the detailed eligibility criteria before selecting an award category to apply for.

The awards add to a growing number of recognition platforms aimed at Pakistan’s freelance and gig economy workforce, an area that has taken on increasing economic significance as freelancers contributed more than a billion dollars to the country’s IT exports in the last fiscal year, according to figures shared by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication. By formally recognizing individual freelancers alongside companies and institutions, the TechBaithak Freelancers Awards reflect the growing visibility of freelance work as a distinct and measurable segment of Pakistan’s broader digital economy.
