Tech Valley Pakistan, one of the country’s leading Google for Education partners, has officially launched the Google Gemini AI Community Program, marking a new chapter in the organization’s efforts to bring artificial intelligence tools and awareness directly into Pakistan’s university campuses. The program was initiated with a two-hour orientation session held at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Swabi, one of Pakistan’s most prominent engineering universities, where Tech Valley’s team introduced students to the capabilities of Google Gemini, Google AI, and NotebookLM, a research and note-taking tool powered by artificial intelligence.
During the orientation, Tech Valley selected its first-ever cohort of Gemini AI Ambassadors along with their dedicated campus teams. These student leaders are expected to serve as the frontline of the program’s grassroots outreach, driving artificial intelligence awareness and adoption across their respective academic communities. The session also laid the strategic groundwork for scaling community engagement beyond the initial cohort, with the program designed to expand to additional universities across Pakistan in the coming months. The launch is consistent with Tech Valley Pakistan’s broader trajectory as a Google for Education partner, having previously established Google for Education Centers of Excellence in schools across the country, partnered with the Islamabad University of Health Sciences and Emerging Technologies to launch Pakistan’s first university-level Gemini Corner, and collaborated with the Government of Punjab to roll out 100,000 Google Career Certificate scholarships as part of the province’s Year of Youth initiative.
Tech Valley has also been distributing 150,000 Google Career Certificate scholarships across Pakistan in 2026, giving students access to courses spanning cybersecurity, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and business leadership. The Gemini AI Community Program represents a complementary and more campus-embedded approach, relying on peer-to-peer engagement through student ambassadors rather than purely online course delivery. By placing student leaders at the center of the initiative, Tech Valley is positioning the program as a scalable model for building a culture of artificial intelligence literacy across Pakistan’s educational institutions, with the goal of ensuring that university students are not only aware of tools like Google Gemini and NotebookLM but are actively using them to enhance their academic work and research capabilities.
