Tech Valley Pakistan has partnered with the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) to offer 200 fully funded scholarships under the Google Career Certificates 2026 programme. The initiative aims to equip members of the PSCA community with globally recognized digital skills, enabling them to pursue opportunities in remote work, freelancing and high-demand technology careers. The partnership reflects the growing emphasis on workforce development through industry-recognized certification programmes that prepare learners for the evolving digital economy.

The Google Career Certificates programme provides practical, job-ready training across a range of in-demand fields, allowing participants to build professional skills without requiring a traditional university degree. Through the fully funded scholarships, eligible members of the PSCA network will gain access to internationally recognized courses designed to improve employability and enhance career prospects in both local and global job markets. The initiative is expected to help participants strengthen their technical capabilities while opening pathways to higher-income digital careers.

The collaboration also supports Pakistan’s broader efforts to promote digital literacy and expand access to quality online education. By making globally recognized certifications more accessible, the programme seeks to bridge skills gaps, encourage lifelong learning and empower individuals to participate in the country’s growing digital economy. It also aligns with increasing demand for professionals with expertise in digital technologies, remote work and online business services.

Through initiatives like this, Tech Valley continues to expand access to digital skills training in collaboration with public sector organizations and educational partners. The partnership with PSCA demonstrates how collaboration between technology companies and government institutions can help develop a future-ready workforce equipped with the skills needed to compete in an increasingly digital and technology-driven global economy.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995.
