The Supreme Court of Pakistan has officially launched its Public Facilitation Portal, a digital platform aimed at improving public access to justice and enhancing transparency within the judicial system. This initiative marks an important step in modernizing the court’s operations and making legal processes more accessible to citizens through online engagement. Accessible via the Supreme Court’s official website under the “Public Portal” section, the platform serves as a comprehensive interface where users can interact directly with the judiciary and access a wide range of services without the need for in-person visits.

The Public Facilitation Portal integrates multiple features designed to make judicial procedures more efficient and transparent. Citizens can now search for and view case details using a case number, petitioner’s name, or case type. This feature allows instant access to case information and real-time updates that were previously only available through physical court visits. The portal also supports online submission of various applications, including requests for early hearings, adjournments, and video link petitions, allowing litigants to manage procedural requirements more conveniently. To ensure accessibility and guidance for all users, a dedicated Helpline 1818 has been launched alongside the portal, providing direct support and procedural information for the public.

In addition to these services, the platform’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section simplifies legal terminology and procedures, making it easier for citizens to understand the judicial system. Users can also track the progress of their submitted applications and view official responses directly through the online system. A dedicated Complaints and Inquiries tab has been introduced to allow citizens to register grievances, provide feedback, and share suggestions with the Supreme Court. This feature aims to promote a more transparent communication channel between the judiciary and the public, fostering accountability and trust in judicial processes.

Recognizing the needs of overseas Pakistanis, a separate Overseas Litigants Portal has been included as part of the initiative. This feature enables Pakistanis living abroad to securely track their cases, access case-related documents, and communicate with court officials without requiring in-person representation. The portal further includes a confidential Anti-Corruption Reporting System that allows individuals to report misconduct or irregularities directly to the court’s administrative authorities. Through this online platform, the judiciary seeks to make case management more efficient, reduce delays, and create a more inclusive and user-friendly system for citizens and legal professionals alike.

The launch of the Public Facilitation Portal reflects the Supreme Court’s commitment to digital transformation and e-governance within Pakistan’s judicial framework. By integrating technology into the justice system, the initiative enhances transparency, accessibility, and efficiency, ensuring that citizens can easily monitor and participate in judicial processes from anywhere in the country or abroad. This development marks a notable advancement toward a more transparent and digitally connected judicial ecosystem that supports both local and overseas citizens in their pursuit of justice.
