Super Asia, a leading home appliances brand and exporter, has taken a significant step towards fostering collaboration between industry and academia by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Engineering & Technology (UET).

This partnership aims to create numerous opportunities for UET students, providing them with valuable exposure through joint Research and Development (R&D) initiatives in products and processes. The collaboration is set to support indigenous technology development and the creation of customized products for exports, marking a significant stride towards enhancing the nation’s export capabilities.

The MOU, signed by the Vice Chancellor of UET, Prof. Dr. Habib-ur-Rehman, and Super Asia’s CEO, Muhammad Faisal Afzal, has garnered appreciation and honor from all stakeholders involved. The initiative was spearheaded by Hammad Khalid, an industry specialist, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz, Coordinator of Narowal Campus. This collaboration signifies a promising way forward, fostering growth and innovation in both academia and industry.

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
