Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) has signed a significant Zone Development Agreement worth Rs. 15 billion with Tech7 (Private) Limited. This partnership aims to establish a world-class Special Technology Zone (STZ) in Islamabad’s B-17 sector.
STZA, a government organization dedicated to promoting technology and innovation, is committed to creating a conducive environment for tech businesses. By offering fiscal and forex incentives and streamlining regulations, STZA aims to attract both domestic and international tech companies to set up operations in Pakistan.
Tech7 STZ, spread across 1.1 million square feet, will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure, including LEED Gold Certified office spaces, co-working facilities, research labs, and high-speed internet connectivity. The zone is designed to cater to the evolving needs of the tech industry and foster a collaborative ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship.
With an initial investment of Rs. 15 billion, Tech7 STZ is projected to attract additional investments of Rs. 12 billion and contribute significantly to Pakistan’s economy through exports, estimated to reach $50-$100 million annually.
This strategic partnership between STZA and Tech7 marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s journey to become a regional tech hub. By providing a conducive environment for tech businesses, the government aims to drive economic growth, create jobs, and position Pakistan as a global player in the digital economy.
