Sindh government has decided to digitalize the admission process across its public school network by introducing a modern digital admission system that will assign every student a unique digital identity linked to their B Form. The initiative is aimed at modernizing student record management, improving transparency, and creating a centralized database that will simplify the administration of admissions and educational records across government schools in the province. The project is being implemented in collaboration with NADRA, which will provide technical support for the development and deployment of the new system.
Under the new initiative, every student enrolled in a government school will receive a unique digital identity connected to their B Form, allowing all academic information to be maintained within a single digital profile. The unified record will include admission details, attendance history, and examination records, making it easier for schools and education authorities to access accurate student information whenever required. By maintaining a centralized digital database, the system is expected to improve record management while reducing reliance on manual documentation. Officials believe the digital platform will help education departments manage student information more efficiently and ensure that records remain updated throughout a student’s academic journey.
The digital admission system has also been designed to address long standing administrative challenges within the public education sector. According to officials, the centralized database will help eliminate fake and duplicate admissions by assigning every student a unique identity that cannot be replicated. It will also enable authorities to monitor students who transfer between schools or leave the education system before completing their studies. Having access to reliable and updated student data will support better monitoring of enrollment trends and help education officials identify gaps in school attendance and student retention. The integrated digital records will also simplify the transfer process for students moving between institutions, ensuring that their academic history remains available without requiring repeated manual verification.
The rollout of the initiative has already started, with digital admission registration introduced in 600 schools across Sindh. Officials have confirmed that the project will be expanded in phases until it covers all government and government assisted schools throughout the province. Sindh’s Provincial Education Minister said that adopting technology in the education sector will increase transparency, reduce human intervention, and make educational planning more effective by providing access to accurate and reliable student data. NADRA has also assured Sindh government of its full technical support to ensure the successful implementation of the project. Through the phased expansion of the digital admission system, the province aims to establish a more efficient and transparent framework for managing student records and strengthening the administration of public education.
