SCOM, the mobile service of Special Communications Organization (SCO), has secured the number one position in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) for upload and download speed in the second quarter Quality of Service (QoS) survey of PTA. SCO announced the result in a post on its official page, where it said that the achievement reflects its commitment to delivering an enhanced network experience across the region. The organization added that the result highlights its continued efforts to improve connectivity and to provide reliable communication services to the people of AJK and GB. The announcement places the network at the top of the rankings in two regions where mobile coverage and data speed are closely followed by users.

The result was presented with a poster that carries the message AJK and GB number one for download and upload speed, together with the line faster connections, a brighter tomorrow. The poster refers to the PTA Mobile Network Experience Benchmarking Report as the source of the ranking, and a note at the bottom states that SCO has secured the number one position in AJK and GB for upload speed. The image shows young people using smartphones and laptops against a backdrop of snow covered mountains, a setting that reflects the geography of the northern areas where the network operates and where reliable data connections can make a clear difference to daily communication.

The post was shared with hashtags that include SCOM, SCO, No1Network, PTAQoSSurvey, AJK, GilgitBaltistan, NetworkPerformance and FasterConnectivity. These tags place the announcement within the discussion on network quality that follows the publication of survey results by the telecom regulator. For subscribers in AJK and GB, speed is among the main measures of how a network performs, since it affects activities such as browsing, sharing media, using online services and holding video calls. By pointing to a ranking that is based on the QoS survey of PTA, SCO has linked its claim to a benchmarking process that measures the experience of mobile network users.

The poster also invites people to get their desired SIM from the nearest SCO franchise, which shows that the organization is using the result to encourage new customers to join the network. The announcement describes the ranking as a sign of the continued efforts of SCO to improve connectivity in the region, and it repeats the commitment of the organization to reliable communication services for the people of AJK and GB. With the second quarter QoS survey now giving SCOM the first position for download and upload speed in these two regions, the organization has said that it will continue to focus on providing a better network experience for its users across AJK and GB.
