Quantum Data Technologies Limited, listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange under the ticker QTECH, has signed a Strategic Cooperation and Market Development Framework Agreement with China’s Guangzhou Great Power Energy and Technology Co., Ltd., a Shenzhen Stock Exchange-listed company with a market capitalisation of approximately $4 billion as of October 13, 2026, specialising in advanced lithium batteries and energy storage solutions. The agreement covers the introduction and progressive local assembly of lithium-based battery energy storage systems across multiple segments of Pakistan’s energy market.

Under the collaboration, QTECH plans to assemble a range of battery storage products tailored to different end-use applications, including residential and commercial battery packs, industrial and utility-scale energy storage systems, and purpose-built solutions for data centres, artificial intelligence infrastructure, electric vehicle battery infrastructure, and other energy-intensive applications. The breadth of the product roadmap reflects the growing convergence between Pakistan’s energy storage needs and its expanding digital and AI infrastructure requirements, with reliable power supply increasingly identified as a bottleneck for data centre growth and AI workload processing in the country.

QTECH described itself as a data and artificial intelligence-driven technology company and framed the initiative within a broader strategic argument: that reliable energy supply and energy security are essential prerequisites for Pakistan’s technological advancement. The company cited the agreement as an important step in its broader strategy to develop innovative technology ventures and create long-term shareholder value, signalling that energy storage is being positioned as a core technology business rather than a conventional industrial investment.

Great Power Energy, as the Chinese partner, brings established manufacturing expertise, proven product lines across battery chemistries and form factors, and a listed company profile that provides both credibility and the commercial infrastructure needed to support a phased local assembly programme in Pakistan. QTECH confirmed that further material developments related to the partnership will be disclosed in accordance with applicable Pakistan Stock Exchange regulations as the collaboration advances.
