PESHAWAR: President, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sherbaz Bilour stressed the need for signing of free trade and preferential trade agreements for promotion of regional trade.

This was mentioned by him during a visit to the chamber house on Tuesday by a group of probationary officials of the Pakistan Institute of Trade and Development (PITAD), a subsidiary body of the Ministry of Commerce.

Sherbaz Bilour stressed the critical importance of promoting bilateral trade with Central Asian nations. He also advocated for long-term economic strategies and proper collaboration with the business community in order to encourage industrialisation, exports, and job creation.

Sherbaz Bilour emphasised the significance of promoting bilateral trade with Central Asian countries. In order to stimulate industrialisation, exports, and job development, he also called for long-term economic strategy and good partnership with the business community.

He stressed the need for paying special attention to regional trade, for which signing of PTA and FTA would be paramount important. He emphasized that the government should take pragmatic steps to ensure provision of facilities and remove impediments in the way of regional markets.
