In a groundbreaking move, inDrive, a leading ride-hailing company, has forged a strategic partnership with Vlektra, a cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, to usher electric bikes into its fleet in Pakistan. This historic collaboration positions inDrive as the first company in the nation’s ride-hailing industry to integrate EVs, a significant leap towards fostering a sustainable future for transportation.

The partnership signifies a collective commitment to combat pollution and promote environmental sustainability by curbing carbon emissions and encouraging a greener mode of travel. Roman Ermoshin, Director of the APAC region at inDrive, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership signifies our concerted effort to introduce electric bikes, driving a significant shift towards a cleaner, more eco-conscious future in the region. Together, we’re pioneering change in sustainable transportation.”

Fatiq Bin Khursheed, Co-founder of Vlektra, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the pioneering nature of the partnership and its role in setting a new eco-conscious standard in Pakistan’s ride-hailing landscape. Khursheed stated, “Vlektra’s cutting-edge EV technology aims to reduce emissions and promote eco-friendly transport.”

The collaboration goes beyond the mere introduction of EVs, as inDrive has launched a contest designed to raise awareness about EVs and environmental sustainability. This initiative aims to reward the best-performing drivers with free EV bikes, not only encouraging a shift towards sustainable transportation but also educating the public about the benefits of EV technology.

This strategic partnership between inDrive and Vlektra is poised to set a precedent in the transportation industry. By combining forces to introduce EV bikes and conducting educational initiatives, they are steering Pakistan towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
