Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz, Punjab’s Provincial Minister for Higher Education and Information Technology, unveiled e-Earn, the province’s largest co-working network, which was created by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in response to Ministry of Higher Education and Information Technology directives.

Chairman PITB Azfar Manzoor presided over the ceremony, which took place at Arfa Software Technology Park. Sajid Latif, the PITB Director General for e-Governance, and other top officials were also present.

“The Punjab government has established e-Earn with the objective of empowering entrepreneurs, freelancers, remote employees, and small enterprises by sharing the cost up to 60% of each member,” stated Minister IT and Higher Education. These co-working spaces will open in 36 Punjab districts, providing professionally designed and well-equipped shared office spaces as well as possibilities for members to form strong bonds through collaboration, events, and networking. This is yet another fantastic government programme that aims to empower between 8,000 and 10,000 freelancers.”

The proposal, according to the provincial minister, has already acquired traction. As previously stated, the first co-working space in Bahawalpur will open in the first week of June, and registrations for this and freelancers are already open. Rawalpindi and Faisalabad will be our next cities to launch. Mr. Raja Yassir Humayun further emphasised the importance of the co-working business in Pakistan’s economic growth and prosperity. He asked freelancers to contribute in any way they could to the nation’s success. He also mentioned some of the government’s top priorities for youth empowerment.

PITB Chairman Azfar Manzoor stated that with e-Earn, we will be able to gather knowledgeable, talented, and skilled aspiring professionals who will provide foreign exchange and strengthen the country’s economy through collaboration and networking. To register for the e-Earn co-working facility, you must be between the ages of 18 and 36, have an active freelancing profile, have a valid CNIC, and be a Punjabi resident. Freelancers can reserve a spot for four months by paying 40% of the total amount.
