Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has outlined a comprehensive plan to improve the ride-hailing industry in the province, focusing on safety, technology, and job creation.
In a meeting with representatives from an online cab service, the CM stressed the need for new regulations to enhance service quality. A key proposal involves linking the Women Safety App to ride-hailing platforms to bolster security for female passengers.
To create more employment opportunities, especially for youth and women, the CM emphasized the importance of safety gear for bike riders. Additionally, she announced plans to expand free Wi-Fi beyond Lahore and Kasur to improve accessibility to online transportation services.
The Punjab government is committed to supporting initiatives that promote business growth and job creation, the CM added.
